Overview

eir evo talent are currently seeking applicants for an experienced Senior Network Engineer. This is a day rate contractor position located with our client in Dublin 8. This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days onsite per week. 

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale network infrastructure across LAN, WLAN, and security solutions in Cisco & Aruba.

You’ll join a high-performing infrastructure team, contributing to large-scale network solutions that support mission-critical services. The ideal candidate is confident in enterprise networking, troubleshooting complex issues, and following industry best practices in network design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and support enterprise LAN/WLAN network solutions
  • Configure, maintain and troubleshoot Layer 2/3 networks
  • Support and optimise routing and switching environments (STP, VLANs, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
  • Deploy and administer network monitoring & management platforms
  • Contribute to network security and access control initiatives
  • Produce high-quality documentation for design, standards, and operational handover
  • Collaborate with internal teams & third-party vendors to deliver stable, scalable infrastructure

Essential Requirements

  • 8+ years’ professional experience in Network Engineering
  • Strong technical experience with:
    • Aruba: Mobility Controllers, Access Points, ClearPass; 
    • Cisco: Catalyst/Nexus switching, Wireless LAN Controllers, DNA Center
  • Solid understanding of LAN, WLAN, and network security principles
  • Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 protocols: STP, VLANs, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
  • Experience using tools such as SolarWinds, Aruba AirWave, Cisco Prime / DNA Center
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with network design best-practice
  • Excellent communication, documentation & stakeholder engagement skills

Certifications

  • Cisco CCNP Enterprise (or equivalent)
  • Aruba Certified Professional (ACP) or Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP)
