eir evo talent are hiring for a Database System Administrator (12-Month Contract – Dublin).

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Database System Administrator to support mission-critical systems within a large organisation. This role will suit a seasoned professional with a proven track record in database management and development across Oracle, MS SQL, and PostgreSQL.

You will play a key role in managing complex environments, ensuring high performance, supporting legacy system migrations, and contributing to the stability and scalability of essential services.
 
Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 7 years’ database management and development experience (Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Education: Level 8 NFQ Honours Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, or related field.

 
Technical Skills and Competencies:

  • Expertise with Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL.
  • Experience managing Oracle 10g or higher on Windows O/S.
  • Handling GIS spatial data and plugins.
  • Designing stable, performant, and scalable databases.
  • Supporting systems with clear documentation and reporting.
  • Full lifecycle development expertise.
  • Legacy database migration and redevelopment.
  • Implementing telemetry and monitoring using ELK stack.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
