Overview

eir evo talent are partnering with a major client in their search for an Onsite IT Support Engineer, in their Blanchardstown site.

This is a fully onsite, daily-rate contract role, in which the successful candidate will provide fast and effective technical assistance to end-users, ensuring high-quality IT services and end-user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Support

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues onsite.
  • Support end-user devices (Desktops, Laptops, Mac, Mobile devices, Printers, Video Conferencing Systems).
  • Install and configure hardware, software, and drivers.
  • Provide meeting room and conference equipment support.
  • Handle user onboarding (setup, IT inductions) and offboarding (equipment collection).

2. Infrastructure Support

  • Provide onsite support for infrastructure and coordinate with third parties for maintenance and backups.
  • Support network troubleshooting and device patching.

3. Customer Service and Training

  • Deliver exceptional customer support with a focus on VIP users.
  • Record and follow up on issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Provide user training and promote IT best practices.

4. Collaboration and Event Support

  • Collaborate with partners for infrastructure projects.
  • Support organizational events requiring IT setup or troubleshooting.

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years in IT Support or a related role.
  • Experience with Windows, Mac OS, mobile devices (iOS/Android), and Microsoft O365.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and incident management.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, video conferencing tools (Teams, Cisco), and basic network troubleshooting.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in managing hardware and software in a professional environment.
  • Understanding of security, telecom, and networking technologies.

Soft Skills

  • Strong customer service focus with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Key Competencies

  • Windows and Mac OS support.
  • Mobile device management (iOS/Android).
  • Microsoft Office 365 and Active Directory expertise.
  • Printer and network support.

Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland or currently hold a Stamp 1G/4 Visa to apply.
