Overview

eir evo talent are currently seeking applicants for a Data Governance Specialist. This is a day rate contract position located with our client in Dublin 1. This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days onsite per week. This is an initial contract duration of 24 months, with further extensions likely.  

Responsibilities:

  • Lead on data governance initiatives including data classification, development of data standards, and design of data quality checks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and implement data policies and standards that align with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and monitor data governance frameworks within Azure to ensure data quality, privacy, and compliance.
  • Administer Microsoft Purview for data discovery, cataloguing, and governance to manage data assets across the Azure and Fabric estate.
  • Develop and implement automated and scalable data quality checks.

Required Skills:

  • At least three years’ experience leading data governance initiatives in large enterprise organisations
  • Knowledge of data governance best practices and tools, specifically Microsoft Purview for data cataloguing and governance.
  • Understanding of Azure security and compliance features to ensure data protection and privacy, including Azure Advisor, Azure Monitor and Microsoft Defender for cloud.
  • Experience with data quality tools and methodologies within the Azure platform.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Relevant third level qualifications.

Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland or currently hold a Stamp 1G/4 Visa to apply.
