Overview

eir evo talent are currently seeking applicants for a Business Continuity Analyst. This is a day rate contract position located with our client in Dublin. This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days on site per week. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Continuity Planning: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery plans for IT systems and operations.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to IT systems and operations.
  • Policy Development: Establish and maintain policies and procedures related to business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Testing and Drills: Plan and conduct regular testing and drills to ensure the effectiveness of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Incident Response: Coordinate and manage incident response activities during disruptions or disasters, ensuring timely recovery of IT services.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT, security, and business units to ensure alignment and integration of business continuity plans with overall organisational objectives.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, including updates and revisions as necessary.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on business continuity and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices related to business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve business continuity and disaster recovery plans based on lessons learned and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar are preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications. Experience with business continuity and disaster recovery tools and technologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships.
