GIS Tech Lead

Job Type: 6+ months highly extendable
Location: Dublin/ Cork – (Hybrid)
Availability to travel within 2 client locations for a few days a month

Your responsibilities:

  • Connect with stakeholders to understand current applications and pain points
  • Based on discussion, prepare a requirement document and propose new architecture
  • Based on approved architecture, prepare detailed design for solutioning
  • Build environment along with customer
  • Development of applications and deployment of applications
  • Involved in UAT
  • User training if required
  • Project documentation
  • Ideal candidate will have around 10 years of total experience with minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience

Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Experience with GE Smallworld Product suites 4.x, 5.x
  • Programming skills in Magik development language
  • Experience in Agile methodology
  • Knowledge of FME, ESRI, Geospatial Analysis
  • Mandatory certification – GE SmallWorld

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience: (As applicable)

  • Programming skills in Java Script, HTML5, SQL
  • Good experience in Microsoft Server, Linux
  • Knowledge of cloud technology
  • Knowledge of Geospatial Server + Kubernetes

Soft skills

  • Effective documentation
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Team Management
  • Planning and organisation

Candidates should hold appropriate RTWs for Ireland i.e. Stamp1G, Stamp 4, Irish/British/EU passport.
