eir evo talent are currently seeking applicants for a SME – Data Retention and ImplementationThis is a permanent position located with our client in Dublin. Hybrid options available.

Job Details:

The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating the data retention strategy based on the business and regulatory requirements of a key utilities customers in Ireland, adhering to industry best practices.
 
Key responsibilities: 

•    Define and implement policies for the lifecycle management of data, including data retention, archiving, and disposal.
•    Understanding data retention requirements from various business units and across multiple data domains for each of them.
•    Designing data retention, archiving and purging strategy for existing and newly created data.
•    Designing data recovery and backup strategy to be applied to any existing and newly created data.
•    Designing the technical strategy from the functional strategy.
•    Defining the technical implementation roadmap.
•    Implement policies and procedures for data retention, disposal, and archiving.
•    Develop and maintain a retention schedule for different types of data.
•    Monitor data retention policies and procedures to ensure they are being followed.
•    Perform data analysis to identify potential data retention issues and recommend solutions.
•    Stay up to date with changing legal and regulatory requirements related to data retention.
•    Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement and maintain data retention policies and procedures.
 
 Key skills/knowledge/experience: 
 
•    Extensive hands-on experience in a similar role. (10 years)
•    Significant experience in Software Development and Agile.
•    Knowledge of industry-specific regulations related to data retention.
•    Ability to perform Elicitation of needs.
•    Hands-on implementation experience of complex Data Retention projects.

Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland or currently hold a Stamp 1G/4 Visa to apply.
